While the upcoming BATMAN – The Telltale Series has been getting most of the buzz when it comes to Telltale’s next projects, The Walking Dead: Season 3 hasn’t been too far behind. Yes, TWD is one superhero short at a time where everywhere you look you see superheroes, but the series’ emotional impact and strong characters have made it a favorite among Telltale fans. With E3 coming up, Telltale has been hinting that it’s going to show off more of The Walking Dead new season, and now we finally have a firm date. At 3pm ET this Sunday, June 12th, Telltale will gives us a first look at the new season and talk about what the new season will have in store for us. We might get a teaser or even a bit more, though my money is on the former.

According to the announcement, Telltale has been working with Robert Kirkman and Skybound with the aim of taking the series in an unexpected direction, and they are promising that Season 3 will serve both as a new entry point and as a continuation of the story first told in 2012. That’s all the information Telltale is giving away, so I’m curious what this “unexpected direction” might be. Maybe we’ll have some kind of a hint as to a possible cure or something along those lines, or perhaps a huge early event that will change TWD world as we know it. Can’t wait to find out.
