Watch this intro section from the surreal first person adventure

A long opening section for We Happy Few from Compulsion Games was shown at Microsoft’s Xbox event, revealing why this disturbing game is attracting so much curiosity.

Set in an alternative 1960s Britain, this is a world in which reality and phantasm merge and collapse upon one another. Citizens are all hooked on a happy drug, but our hero decides he wants to quit. It soon becomes alarmingly clear that his decision has serious consequences.

This E3 preview is definitely worth a look, especially if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary. We Happy Few is coming to the Xbox One Preview program on July 26 and is also due out on Windows PC soon.
