Zero Time Dilemma arrives in the West on 28th June, providing a concluding part to the Zero Escape series. For fans of Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and Virtue’s Last Reward it’s a hugely exciting prospect.

With the release so close Japanese publisher Spike Chunsoft has released new trailers showing the same tense scene on 3DS, Vita and PC (where it’s being released on Steam). In light of various promotional videos showing the Vita or PC build, it’s a welcome opportunity to see the 3DS version beyond some screenshots.

On 3DS it looks ok, though there’s no getting around the fact that there are some problems with lighting and textures on the dark background, particularly. It’s a reflection of the ageing technology of the 3DS, perhaps, though it shouldn’t ultimately detract from the most important aspect of the series – storytelling.

The difference is clear but, ultimately, it’s good news that this third part in the series is coming to the 3DS so soon – will you be picking it up?
