Last week saw only four new games added to Xbox One Backwards Compatibility, a relatively quiet week for Microsoft in recent months.

While things slowed down around E3, there were still plenty of titles confirmed following the Xbox conference.

And Microsoft continued their pledge to add new Xbox One Backwards Compatibility titles to the program, with as many as 24 new games arriving from Microsoft in June.

The newest arrivals are all Arcade games, meaning that many of them don’t hold a high ranking on the feedback survey.

These include Bloodforge, Go! Go! Break Steady, Gripshift, Mars: War Logs and Blood Knights.

It should also be noted that the Games with Gold July lineup contains Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for the first two weeks of this month, followed by Tron: Evolution and both can be downloaded for free by subscribers.

Fans are hoping that a recent change to the Red Dead Redemption Xbox store page may mean its release to Backwards Compatibility could come very soon.

While neither Rockstar or Microsoft have confirmed if the popular Xbox 360 title will ever be included, fans hope that the new update could signal something is brewing.

Reddit users have posted new images showing the game’s store page now listing RDR as available on “Xbox,” rather than a specific platform.

This would fit into Microsoft’s new overall strategy of removing barriers between different generations, using the Universal Windows Platform.

We already know that new version of the Xbox One are arriving in the next 18 months, while a select range of new titles will be playable on both Xbox and Windows 10, sharing the same save files.

However, it is still worth taking this hope with a big pinch of realism.

While it’s hardly a negative move on the part of Microsoft, there are a number of other reasons why they may have updated the Red Dead Redemption page.

It may be the case that the tech giant are changing the entire store and changing the tags on every game to show that it is available on the Xbox platform.

Other titles that have been promised but have yet to arrive include Bioshock Infinite, Bioshock and Bioshock 2, as well as Skate 2.

Hopes of Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim joining the ranks now seem slim, following Bethesda’s official unveiling of the new Special Edition version of the game for PS4 and Xbox One at E3.

Black Ops 2 remains the most-wanted title voted for by fans with 178,495 likes, followed by Skyrim on 162,151 and Red Dead Redemption with 148,371.
