<p><strong>[UPDATE] </strong>Microsoft has now <a href="http://ift.tt/2335jOH" rel="nofollow">confirmed the rumors</a>, announcing that <a href="http://ift.tt/1plcLoT">Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episodes 1 </a>and<a href="http://ift.tt/1plcItn"> 2</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/29QWnG2">Fret Nice</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/1oFvmFk">Bionic Commando Rearmed 2</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/1qatOUq">Crystal Defenders</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/1HLRZmF">Neogeo Battle Coliseum</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/29QWwcn">Capcom Arcade Cabinet</a>, and<a href="http://ift.tt/1lx6L6g"> Pac-Man Museum</a> have all joined the Xbox One&#8217;s backwards compatibility program.</p>
<p>Check out<a href="http://ift.tt/1OzAESt"> this post</a> to see all of the 200-plus games in the Xbox One backwards compatibility program.</p>
<p><strong><em>The original story is below.</em></strong></p>
<p>It appears that Microsoft is going to add a number of <a href="http://ift.tt/18k9JSv">Xbox 360 </a>games to the <a href="http://ift.tt/1gvajmS">Xbox One</a>&#8216;s backwards compatibility catalog today. Xbox insider @ekim_gaf, who has a track record of accuracy, <a href="https://twitter.com/ekim_gaf/status/755876437375217665" rel="nofollow">wrote on Twitter</a> that eight games are coming to the lineup today, July 21.</p>
<p>These include: <a href="http://ift.tt/1plcLoT">Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episodes 1 </a>and<a href="http://ift.tt/1plcItn"> 2</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/29QWnG2">Fret Nice</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/1oFvmFk">Bionic Commando Rearmed 2</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/1qatOUq">Crystal Defenders</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/1HLRZmF">Neogeo Battle Coliseum</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/29QWwcn">Capcom Arcade Cabinet</a>, and<a href="http://ift.tt/1lx6L6g"> Pac-Man Museum</a>.</p>
<p>While unconfirmed, ekim recently<a href="http://ift.tt/29EWx66"> revealed the Gears of War 4 Xbox One S system</a> before <a href="http://ift.tt/29HI9Kb">Microsoft announced it officially</a>. Before that, the tipster <a href="https://twitter.com/ekim_gaf/status/747670792989704194" rel="nofollow">accurately revealed July 2016&#8217;s Games With Gold lineup</a> before its <a href="http://ift.tt/290plHv">official announcement</a></p>
<p>This doesn&#8217;t guarantee that the backwards compatibility titles are accurate, however. We&#8217;ll update this post later today if indeed these games are confirmed.</p>
<p>If true, it would be the second time this week that Microsoft added new games to the Xbox One backwards compatibility program. <a href="http://ift.tt/2a8nh1i">On Tuesday</a>, Microsoft launched <a href="http://ift.tt/2a6uSLk">Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/1lgwKMO">Flock</a>, and <a href="http://ift.tt/2a6vfVZ">Tour de France 2009</a> into the catalog.</p>
