New film features Aaron Paul, Lena Headey and Sean Bean

Kingsglaive, the feature film companion to upcoming game Final Fantasy 15, just received a new theatrical trailer, which you can view above.

The narrative of Kingsglaive takes place in the world of Final Fantasy 15 and involves the kingdom of Lucis defending a magical crystal from the invading empire of Niflheim. The title refers to the magic-wielding royal guards of Lucis under the command of King Regis.

Kingsglaive’s new trailer is the first to feature voice talent from its English-language actors. The film stars Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, Need for Speed) as Nyx, a member of the Kingsglaive sworn to protect the oracle Lunafreya, played by Lena Headey (300, Game of Thrones). Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones) will also star as King Regis.

According to Kingsglaive director Takeshi Nozue, the film has been well received in Japan, where it has already premiered, and Square Enix plans to continue making films.

Another companion piece to Final Fantasy 15, an anime miniseries entitled Brotherhood: Final Fantasy 15, will run five episodes, three of which are currently available to watch on YouTube.

If you just can’t wait until October for the Blu-Ray version, it will be included in the Deluxe and Ultimate Collector’s Editions of Final Fantasy 15 when the game launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Sept. 30.
