We’ve been closely following the release of the upcoming Warhammer 40K game Eisenhorn: Xenos, as it looks like there’s a pretty decent chance of this game being the release that breaks the Warhammer curse. If you’re unfamiliar with that particular affliction, it’s a lot like the torment of video games based off movies. You get excited for the title, then, well, anyone around to play a movie game in the NES/Game Boy/SNES era knows how the rest pans out. That’s sort of been the case with 40K games on the App Store, as they’ve been incredibly hit or miss. That doesn’t seem to be the case with Eisenhorn: Xenos as everything we’ve seen surrounding the title seems oddly impressive for a Warhammer game.

They’ve released two different developer diary videos recently, the second of which hit the internet this morning. But, to start things out, if you missed the first one, that’s probably worth watching first:

The video released this morning addresses the cross platform release of the game, as well as the perception of how because Eisenhorn: Xenos is also going to be releasing on mobile as well as PC the game is going to be lacking in some way. They also touch on how closely the game and the book meld together, and a bunch of other stuff.

Eisenhorn: Xenos is scheduled to launch on Android, iOS, and PC tomorrow. Stay tuned for more details, and keep an eye on our forums for the game to pop up. I’m sure first impressions will come rolling in quickly.
