It’s fun for the whole family!

Entertainment Weekly has unveiled the new look for Pennywise the Dancing Clown as it will appear in the upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King’s 1986 novel It.

It was first adapted into a TV miniseries in 1990, which starred Tim Curry as Pennywise. The clown is one of the many forms taken by the shapeshifting, inter-dimensional being called It, who terrorizes a small town every 30 years and devours its children. The remake puts Bill Skarsgård, known for his roles in The Divergent Series: Allegiant and Hemlock Grove, in the clown shoes of the monster.

Pennywise’s new costume is in shades of white and gray with a few highlights of red, a departure from the 1990 series’ garish yellow, purple and green garb. It also reflects a much older style of clown costume, taking notes from medieval harlequins and Elizabethan styles.

The remake will be directed by Argentine filmmaker Andrés Muschietti, known for the 2013 horror movie Mama starring Jessica Chastain.

It will be released in theaters on Sept. 8, 2017.
