Earthlock: Festival of Magic premieres for free on the console

One of Xbox Live’s Games with Gold for September will be Earthlock: Festival of Magic, a western-themed adventure with origins in the turn-based role-playing games made great by Japanese developers.

Earthlock‘s launch trailer is above, excerpting the game’s combat, cutscenes and voice-bubble dialogue. Snowcastle Games, a Norwegian studio, is the developer, and the game showcases nordic themes. Earthlock began as a crowdfunded project in 2013, coming to fruition now.

Snowcastle announced Earthlock‘s Sept. 1 launch date back in July, saying that versions for PlayStation 4 and Wii U would follow "a month or two" after the Windows PC and Xbox One launch.
