<p dir="ltr">During a Nintendo Direct presentation, the company announced a trio of amiibo figures to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda series.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Nintendo will release 8-bit Link, a figure similar in style to the retro <a href="http://ift.tt/1Cbz0hY">30th anniversary Classic Mario amiibo figure</a> released along with Super Mario Maker last year, Ocarina of Time Link, and a special two-pack featuring Toon Link and Zelda from the Wind Waker. The figures will be available at retailers on December 2.</p>

<p dir="ltr">The new amiibo will function the same as Link and Zelda amiibo, respectively, but they will also have special functionality with <a class="autolink" title="The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" href="http://ift.tt/2bCgwq0">The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild</a>, when it releases in 2017.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Nintendo also revealed that Skyward Sword is now available on the Wii U Virtual Console.</p>
<p>Recently, <a href="http://ift.tt/2c9qlXx">Nintendo announced another special collaboration with Dark Horse comics</a> to release a series of three books dedicated to the company’s 30-year old Zelda series. The first book, <a href="http://ift.tt/2c5gNOC" rel="nofollow">The Legend of Zelda: Art and Artifacts</a>, is available now for pre-order.</p>
