With the debut of HBO’s Westworld right around the corner, the network has now released a new behind-the-scenes video that features insight from the show’s creators and actors.

Creators and showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy discuss what the show aims to be. Nolan said it’s a "classic, full-boat western meets a science-fiction film." It’s more than that, too. "What happens to a place where you live without limits, supposedly consequence-free?" he asks.

"When you open it up, there are these great emotional questions, talking about our deepest fears, our greatest passions, and how we behave when those are challenged," executive producer JJ Abrams (Lost, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) adds.

In the show, Anthony Hopkins’ character creates a huge, western theme park of sorts where people can go to live out their fantasies. Previous trailers have shown sex and murder, among other things.

"If the simulation is immersive enough, would you start discovering things about yourself that you didn’t want to know?" Nolan says in the video.

Lead actress Evan Rachel Wood, who plays Dolores, said Westworld is supposed to "challenge your views of what’s right and what’s wrong." Hopkins’ character is the one who created the entire world, down to every blade of grass and android that inhabits it. "You can’t play god without being acquainted with the devil," he said, referencing the events of Westworld.

A pair of 30-second trailers have also been released and can be seen below.

Westworld also stars Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, James Marsden, and Jeffrey Wright. It premieres on October 2, 2016. It’s a re-imagining of the 1973 Michael Crichton movie of the same name. Nolan has stated that part of his inspiration for the show came from video games such as Red Dead Redemption and BioShock.

According to Marsden, there are five or six years seasons worth of Westworld mapped out, though only the first season has been announced so far.
