Zampella then went on to discuss how–following the success of their work on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault–Electronic Arts wanted to take ownership of the studio, something he and his team pushed back against. "Originally when we formed Infinity Ward we were working with EA. We had a deal to do the sequel to Medal of Honor," he explained. "Allied Assault did so well that EA wanted to pull it in house, so they tried to force us to come be part of EA. We didn’t want to do that."
