The beta’s second weekend kicks off October 21.
This upcoming weekend’s second Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta will be open to all PlayStation 4 owners, not just those who’ve pre-ordered the game.
According to Activision, the beta will be available to download on the PlayStation Store later today, before it begins October 21 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. GMT. The beta will conclude at the same times on October 24.
The blog post, however, makes no mention of the pre-order restriction being lifted from the Xbox One beta, meaning those playing on Microsoft’s platform will still have to pre-purchase Infinite Warfare in order to participate.
The game’s first beta was held this past weekend, exclusively for those who had pre-ordered Infinite Warfare for PlayStation 4. It was extended an additional day to give Infinity Ward more time to stress test its servers and newly implemented matchmaking system.
“The feedback and player data is exactly what we need in order to make our day one experience on November 4 the best it can be in the final game,” Joe Cecot, Infinity Ward’s lead multiplayer designer, said. “We are constantly fine tuning and balancing the MP experience to meet player expectations and our design goals, so huge thanks from all of us at the studio.”
