A popular GTA 5 Cheats website recently conducted an online poll to see what players were looking for next, and it makes for some interesting reading.

With over a 1000 votes so far, here are the four options to choose from:

I want some new story content, I’ve had enough Online DLC 41.98% (440 votes)

I only play story mode, I want some story DLC! 46.09% (483 votes)

Give me more Online DLC, I’m finished with story mode 4.39% (46 votes)

I only play online, of course I want more Online content! 7.54% (79 votes)

While it may be disingenuous to suggest that players are done with GTA 5 Online, the latest stats would say they aren’t, it does show the overwhelming support and interest for new GTA 5 Story DLC.

When it first launched, Rockstar made it pretty clear that Grand Theft Auto V would feature more adventures including Michael, Franklin and Trevor in the future.

However, with the success of GTA Online, those plans were put on the backburner to focus on more multiplayer content.

For a long time, fans have been told that Rockstar Games have put aside their plans for any new story DLC.

It came as a surprise to many, what with the impressive install base and the widespread of platforms the game was launched for.

However, according to one reliable online source, Rockstar may be thinking about reviving their original plans.

“As we kinda guessed with the few things that were found about it in the files a while ago, mostly by Fun, they already had quite a lot of work done before they “scrapped” it,” GTA 5 commenter Yann2295 confirmed.

“I was told it is 60-70% complete – mo cap, tech animations and voiceover are done. Basically the biggest part of the job is done, completing it would not be that hard.

“Supporting GTA V with a DLC after RDR2 could also mean they will keep supporting GTA Online at least until this DLC comes out, in my opinion.

“That goes against the info I had a while back saying that they were planning to end the GTA Online updates around Spring 2017, but them changing their minds is not a very surprising thing.

“As always, that’s just what I heard, it doesn’t mean it’s all spot on or correct, and as I said above, Rockstar love changing their minds, but I thought it would be interesting to share.”

It would be astounding if Rockstar did follow through with these plans and release story DLC for GTA 5 in 2018.

The game originally launched in 2013 but as recent data has shown, new players continue to buy copies while GTA 5 Online grows from strength-to-strength.
