Studio Khara fills in the story between the first and second games

Here’s the full 17-minute Gravity Rush the Animation ~Overture~ (split into two parts) stitching together 2012’s Gravity Rush with the upcoming Gravity Rush 2. Sony Interactive Entertainment published it today.

Players of the first physics-defying action title, released on PlayStation Vita (and later PS4), will recognize characters like Kat and Raven, who star in the animation. It fills in their story following the cliffhanger that concludes Gravity Rush.

Studio Khara, best known for the Rebuild of Evangelion franchise, produced this anime. It’s included on Blu-ray with a purchase of Gravity Rush 2, which launches on PlayStation 4 on Jan. 20. The Gravity Rush 2 demo is currently available on the PlayStation Store.
