Nintendo has announced that Splatoon 2 will receive a “Global Testfire” on Nintendo Switch from March 24-26.

Over the course of three days, the game will open for six one-hour sessions. The game will cycle through 4v4 Turf War matches, and players will be able to use four new weapons, alongside two “remixed” versions of the existing Splat Roller and Splat Charger.

Nintendo previously used Global Testfires before the launch of the original Splatoon, acting as free demos for players, and network stress tests on the developer’s side.

Splatoon 2, so far, feels like an improved – if largely unchanged – take on Splatoon’s winning formula. It’s scheduled for a full release this summer.
