<p>Business magazine <em>Fortune </em>has posted its list of the <a href="http://ift.tt/2kWr3y0">World&#8217;s Most Admired Companies for 2017</a>. <a href="http://ift.tt/21qKfRg">Call of Duty</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/Znc1yq">Destiny</a>, <a href="http://ift.tt/10Ft6sN">Overwatch</a>, and <a href="http://ift.tt/1075cCd">World of Warcraft</a> company Activision Blizzard made the cut, ranking at No. 3 in the Entertainment Sector, behind only Netflix and Disney in that order.</p>
<p>Activision moved up three spots from last year, when it was ranked No. 6 in the Entertainment category. No other video game companies made the cut in the Entertainment sector.</p>

<p>Overall, across all industries, Apple was name the World&#8217;s Most Admired Company. Rounding out the top five were Amazon, Starbucks, Berkshire Hathaway, and Disney. Microsoft landed at the No. 9 spot.</p>
<p>The results come from a survey that asked 3,800 executives, analysts, directors, and experts to rate companies on nine different criteria, from &quot;investment value and quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent.&quot; Additionally, only the highest-revenue companies in each industry (680 in 28 countries overall) were considered for the survey.</p>

<p>Activision Blizzard reported earnings for its latest financial period last week, revealing <a href="http://ift.tt/2kTVKVo">new financial records</a>. However, the company&#8217;s Activision Publishing division <a href="http://ift.tt/2kXOKqB">suffered job losses</a>.</p>
<p>In other news,<a href="http://ift.tt/2kTVKVo"> Destiny 2 is scheduled for this year</a>, as is a new Call of Duty game from Sledgehammer Games that<a href="http://ift.tt/2ks7Tx9"> goes back to the franchise&#8217;s roots</a>.</p>
