According to a synopsis on IMDB, Bright is "set in a world where mystical creatures live side by side with humans. A human cop is forced to work with an Orc to find a weapon everyone is prepared to kill for."

The movie also stars Joel Edgerton (Zero Dark Thirty, Exodus: Gods and Kings), Noomi Repace (Prometheus), and Edgar Ramírez (The Bourne Ultimatum). It’s written by Max Landis, who penned the likes of Chronicle and American Ultra.

The movie is produced by Netflix, and will hit the streaming service in December. The company won the rights to make the film in a bidding war last year, ultimately investing $90 million into the project.

In related news, it was reported recently that Ayer will direct a Suicide Squad spinoff called Gotham City Sirens. The movie will focus on Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), and will also feature other characters from DC’s roster of female supervillains. Suicide Squad also won an Oscar this weekend, taking home the prize for Best Makeup and Hairstyling.
