Night School Studios’ supernatural coming-of-age tale OxenFree is available now in the Apple App Store.

OxenFree was our runner-up for Best Adventure Game of 2016, coming in behind Firewatch. The game came to consoles in January 2016 as a digital download and later was made available as a physical version through Limited Run Games.

The port to iOS isn’t a mere copy-paste, with Night School Studios adding what it calls “custom touch controls” for the iPad and iPhone release.

OxenFree uses a branching dialogue system to connect you to the characters in the game. You play as a teenager named Alex on a trip with childhood best-friend Ren and step-brother Jonas. A radio in the game can be tuned to supernatural frequencies, warping reality and allowing a better look into the darker side of both the characters and their environment.

In our OxenFree review, we called the game “great,” lauding its conversation structure and its simplicity of play.

The $4 download is available right now.
