Currently Destiny 2 Pre Order content varies depending on which version of the new PC, PS4 and Xbox One game you’re purchasing.

By spending a little bit more, fans can grab both the Destiny 2 base game, as well as the first two expansions being released.

This option is available on all platforms with Bungie describing the deal’s content: “Get access to both Expansion I and Expansion II, offering brand new story missions, cooperative activities, competitive multiplayer, and a wealth of new weapons, armor, and gear.”

And for those on the fence on whether to splash out on the new expansions, a new Destiny 2 leak has surfaced that may help in the process.

A new expanded version of that original DLC description has found its way onto the web early, revealing release date and other new info.

“The Destiny 2 Expansion Pass includes reservations for both EXPANSION I and EXPANSION II, which will be released in Winter 2017 and Spring 2018, respectively.

Promotional artwork has also revealed more on what the new DLC content may be based around.

Featuring the Trials of Osiris logo and one associated with the Russian Warmind Rasputin, it appears fans may finally find out more about some of the game’s more vague characters.

Leaked information in the past has pointed to the Warlock connected with the Trials of Osiris having been originally planned to feature in Destiny 1.

Due to dramatic changes made to the final game, reports last year indicated that further content may have been saved for the Destiny 2 sequel instead.

Another leak, this time from someone associated with US retailer Gamestop, appears to suggest that both Activision and Bungie are planning a new fan event for the Destiny franchise, although the wording is a bit vague.

An excerpt from an alleged message from Bungie, reads: “All year long, we’ll be revealing new threats, new places to explore, and new ways for Guardians to fight.

“Our first destination will be our own event dedicated to Destiny, where we’ll unveil our bold plans for the future.

“We can’t wait to share the details with our community and begin a conversation that will welcome new players to join them.”

It should be noted that while it sounds like some kind of new fan event, it could also be something else the publisher is planning to host online.

The Destiny 2 release date has been set for September 8 on Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
