Like almost everything else in life, Netflix abides by a certain type of mentality: Out with the old and in with the new.
To make room for new series and films on services like Netflix, Hulu and HBO Now, older titles have to be removed. On Netflix, that means people will have to part ways with movies like D2: The Mighty Ducks, all six seasons of Private Practice and all eight seasons of CSI: NY.
Hulu won’t lose any of its original series, but some beloved older movies will no longer be able to stream as of June 30. This includes Chaplin, The Mighty Ducks, Air Bud and Footloose. As it’s done in the past, at least Hulu gives subscribers until the end of the month.
HBO Now, like Hulu, will also be saying goodbye to some older movies. Repo Man, Any Given Sunday, Baby Mama and Tim Burton’s Batman will all be leaving. Although some of these movies may come back later, they’ll be leaving HBO Now for the foreseeable future.
