Lately, it seems like it’s Thor’s World Tree, and we’re all just living in it. The god of Thunder is about to return to the big screen in Thor: Ragnarok, and Marvel Comics is currently publishing one of their most epic sagas ever in the pages of The Mighty Thor. In short, it’s a great time to be a fan of the Odinson.

In honor of these major Thor-related projects, we figures now would be a great time to look back at the character’s visual history. From the original Jack Kirby design to Chris Hemsworth’s thunder god, these are the looks that have defined Thor over the decades.

Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Watiti and stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Rufalo as Hulk/Bruce Banner, Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Cate Blanchett as Hela.

Things are looking pretty rosy for the movie right now. Early Twitter impressions of Thor: Ragnarok are positive, and the film is currently tracking for the largest opening weekend in the franchise’s history.
