I know a few people around here probably did a spit take at that headline, as it seems like the combination of strategic card gameplay and hex grids is is a siren song for iOS gamers. Well, not a whole heck of a lot of details have been made public just yet about the upcoming Valhalla: Road to Ragnarok, but the things that have been teased in their beta trailer is pushing all my buttons. Take a look:

Aside from lane-based card battles and conquering a hex grid to expand your Viking kingdom, you’ll also form alliances and raid other players to challenge their decks with your own. It also sounds like there’s a bit of a rock paper scissors system between the three tribes in the game, which include the Swedish, Danish, and Icelandic vikings.
