No chicken dinners for them
In an effort to curb the cheating that’s rife in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, anti-cheat measures continue to be rolled out in the various updates, with over a million players banned last month alone.
The stats come from the BattlEye Twitter account, which shared that over 1,044,000 cheaters were banned in January.

Unfortunately, bans don’t seem to be resolving the issue, as “things continue to escalate”.
Back in November, almost 100,000 players were banned over a single weekend, followed by another wave of 100,000 bans in January.
“Fighting cheaters will always remain WIP and never be solved completely,” BattlEye tweeted at the end of last year, “especially in the most popular Battle Royale game.”
Further anti-cheat measures were rolled out at the end of January on PC with the latest update, so we’ll have to see how effective they are out in the wild in the coming weeks.
