Goodbye flying ships.
Sea of Thieves’ latest update, patch 1.0.5, fixes flying ships among other issues as Rare continues its dedication to correcting problems in April before shifting focus to new content in May.
As detailed on a recent forum post, ships will no longer shoot up into the air when sinking. Twitch streamer KonzolvilagRicsi shared a brief video highlighting the strange problem.

The position of ammo crates on both the sloop and the galleon has been adjusted as well, making it easier to interact with. You’ll also no longer play the same shanty song twice in a row. As for the UI improvements, images in the Clothing and Vanity Chests now load better when browsing.
Players can also look forward to a trying out a variety of new weapons, ship customization, clothing, and other items in the near future. For a more detailed look at the update, check out the full patch notes.
