Full trailer likely to come at Comic-Con this week

The latest teaser for Doctor Who’s 11th series aired during halftime of today’s World Cup Final, but fans’ reactions to the 40-second trailer were largely, well, disappointed that they didn’t get to see more.

But at just 40 seconds, these are the briefest of cameos from Jodie Whittaker, the 13th Doctor, and her companions Graham, Yasmin and Ryan (played by Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole, revealed back in October).

There is a panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 19, where the full trailer will probably be premiered.

Whittaker, known for her work in the BBC drama Broadchurch, was announced as the Thirteenth Doctor a year ago. Doctor Who had a panel at Comic-Con last year, too. The BBC premiered the trailer for the Christmas Special where fans would be saying goodbye to the Twelfth Doctor, Peter Capaldi, who played that role from 2014 until the end of 2017.
