It’s been over a decade since EA swung for the fences.
When asked if EA was still thinking about one day returning to making baseball video games, EA Sports Executive Vice President Cam Weber simply says “the answer is yes.”
“I would love to have a baseball game in our portfolio,” Weber says. “It’s something that once again, every couple years, we take a look and we talk about and theorize about what it might look like to get back into something like baseball.”
In this month’s IGN Unfiltered (see the full interview above), Weber sat down to discuss his career journey, from The Simpsons: Road Rage to managing the world’s largest sports game company.
EA’s last baseball game was MVP Baseball 2005. 2K Sports later acquired the MLB license, forcing EA out of the game.
