Survive together, until it’s no longer convenient

At The Game Awards 2018, Midwinter Entertainment announced Scavengers, a futuristic “co-opetition” game. Created by the people who made Halo 5: Guardian’s Warzone mode, Scavengers is a team-based multiplayer game on a large scale, where multiple different team will compete against and alongside AI enemies.

Scavenger’s website reveals a bit more information on the project, suggesting that players will need to group up as different classes to work together and solve combat puzzles each round. Everything in the world of Scavengers aims to harm players, including the harsh, frozen environment and the creatures within it. While the game is cooperative by nature, it seems that the teams won’t be completely set in stone. Players will be able to turn on one another once their allegiances have ended.

Players interested in checking out Scavengers can sign up for playtests in 2019 on the game’s website. Nothing else is currently known about Scavengers, including the platforms that it’ll appear on.
