After two years of teases, we’ve finally seen Marvel’s Avengers in action, and we have a release date: May 15, 2020.

We’ll be seeing more of the game later this week, so make sure to check back for a full preview. You can also learn more about the game during the E3 Coliseum show on Tuesday, June 11 (which was responsible for a little leak last week).

Developed by Crystal Dynamics (creator of the Tomb Raider reboot series) and co-developed by Eidos Montreal (of the two most recent Deus Ex games), it’s billed as the beginning of a multi-game partnership between Marvel and Square Enix.

Marvel’s Avengers was originally teased under the name of The Avengers Project back in January 2017. We learned its true name in the run-up to E3.

It’s backed up by some serious development talent, even beyond its two core studios, after both Uncharted director Shaun Escayg and Dead Space producer Stephen Barry joined the project last year.
