next major update, Beyond, will release on August 14.
Developer Hello Games initially revealed Beyond in March, calling it the game’s “most ambitious chapter so far.” Beyond’s date was announced in a (very brief) trailer that you can watch here:
Two of the most notable additions Beyond will bring are VR support and No Man’s Sky Online. The latter of those two, as you might have guessed, focuses on expanding No Man’s Sky’s multiplayer components, with Hello Games saying it “includes a radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together.”
On the VR side of things, our very own Mark Medina got a chance to play an early version of Beyond in VR and said it felt like a totally different game. You can watch his thoughts in the video below:
