20 minutes of Nintendo Switch indies

Nintendo is dropping a bunch of news on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch during a new Indie World livestream on Monday, Aug. 19. Today’s Nintendo-Direct-but-for-indies presentation kicks off at 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT and is expected to last 20 minutes

One of the games expected to be discussed today, Superhot for Nintendo Switch, appears to have already been outed. The first-person shooter, which uses a unique mechanic in which time moves forward when the player moves, sounds like it might be stealth-released very soon.

As for the rest of the presentation, it’s hard to know what to expect — other than just about every indie game you know, love, or might be looking forward to getting a Switch version. (Rumors abound that we may also get a release of a former Xbox console exclusive: Ori and the Blind Forest.)

Nintendo’s previous indie showcase was back in March. That presentation, which used the Nindies moniker, included reveals of games like Cuphead, Katana Zero, Neo Cab, Nuclear Throne, and Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer for Switch.
