Just before the end of Pokemon Sword

and Shield’s 24-hour Twitch broadcast, two Pokemon that appear to be the Galarian evolution of Ponyta galloped onto the screen.

We first saw glimpses of the new Pokemon evolution around 2 p.m. PST, but a big fluffy tail was spotted a while before that as well. Impidimp, the devilish imp-looking Pokemon, repeatedly got in the way during the livestream and obstructed viewers’ perspectives.

Viewers also happened to see a silhouette of what was most likely this new Ponyta evolution later on in the stream.

The stream had no dialogue or follow-up, so IGN can’t confirm if these are actually Ponyta evolutions, but they do look awfully like a pair of Ponytas, just with considerably fluffier tails. One of the two horse Pokemon also appeared to glow and shimmer while interacting with its companion.

These Galarian Ponyta were the only new Pokemon shown during the livestream, but we did get a good look at others like Impidimp, Pikachu, Morellul, Phantump, and Shiinotic. We also managed to hear the Kanto region Ponyta cry early on in the stream.
