<p>‘Push’ is the new mode, taking place on new map ‘Toronto’</p>
<p><a href="https://www.polygon.com/game/overwatch/37910"><em>Overwatch</em></a><em> 2</em>, long believed to be in the pipeline at Blizzard Entertainment, will be revealed at BlizzCon 2019 next weekend — with new hero Echo finally joining the game’s ranks, <a href="https://www.espn.com/esports/story/_/id/27939436/overwatch-2-feature-pve-new-map-hero">according to a report on ESPN.com</a>.</p>
<p>Rod Breslau, writing for ESPN, cited a source within BlizzCon and a training document for the event <a href="https://www.espn.com/esports/story/_/id/27939436/overwatch-2-feature-pve-new-map-hero">in this morning’s report</a>. The report also provides a screenshot showing a logo for the new game. <em>Overwatch 2 </em>will deliver “Push” the hero shooter’s first new mode since the game launched in 2015. Push likewise takes place on a new map, “Toronto,” according to Breslau.</p>
<p>Echo, an omnic, was revealed at BlizzCon 2018 <a href="https://www.polygon.com/2018/11/2/18056646/overwatch-animated-short-mcree-ashe-echo-reunion-blizzcon-2018">in the “Reunion” trailer</a> that also introduced Ashe, leader of the Deadlock Gang. McCree called Echo “pardner,” and she’s been depicted in some of <em>Overwatch</em>’s earliest concept art.</p>
<p>BlizzCon 2019 starts Friday at the Anaheim Convention Center and runs through the weekend. This past week also saw <a href="https://www.polygon.com/2019/10/21/20925232/diablo-4-leak-blizzcon-2019">the leak of not-very-well-kept-secret <em>Diablo 4</em></a>, which is likewise expected to get a gala reveal at BlizzCon.</p>
