Only two months after launching a (comparatively expensive) subscription option in the mobile Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo appears to be bringing a subscription plan to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp

A ResetEra user by the name of ZeoVGM (as reported by NintendoLife) caught some details of the new subscription service, dubbed “Pocket Camp Club.” The new service will apparently launch on November 21 this year, with two subscription tiers available to select from. Pricing details haven’t been officially revealed yet. That said, Mario Kart Tour’s one subscription service currently costs players $4.99/£4.99 a month, so it’s possible Nintendo will follow a similar plan.

In one tier, players will be able to appoint an animal friend as camp caretaker, who’ll see to the regular maintenance of your personal camp.

The second plan will give players fortune cookies (randomized loot boxes with furniture and clothing items inside) and will let you store furniture and clothing in a warehouse storage area.

According to the leaked image, Nintendo will reveal more in a video on November 20, one day before the service supposedly goes live. Nintendo offered a two-week trial period for Mario Kart Tour players who wanted to try out the subscription service, but the overall service wasn’t well-received, especially when you consider services like Apple Arcade offer numerous games for the same $5 price point. It’s even more expensive than the worst tier of Nintendo’s online service for the Switch. It’s possible that Nintendo will change the way it approaches this new Pocket Camp Club service, but only time will tell.
