Earlier in the week, a copy of the script for Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker ended up on Ebay. Before it could be sold though, the studio recovered it. And now it has been revealed that the script was originally John Boyega’s.

The Finn actor revealed the news on the November 27 episode of Good Morning American while talking to Michael Strahan. "It was me. Let me tell you how this all went down." Boyeda began to explain. "I was moving apartments, and I left the script under my bed. I was just like, ‘I will leave it under my bed, and when I wake up in the morning, I will take it and then move.’

"But then my boys came over, and we started partying a little bit. And the script, it just stayed there. And a few weeks after, this cleaner comes in, finds this script and then puts it on Ebay for like 65 pounds ($83). The person didn’t know the true value… It was scary man, I got calls from every official. Even Mickey Mouse called me, ‘What did you do?!’"

Boyega also joked that it would be great for fans to read the script before they saw the movie. Luckily for Disney, the script didn’t make it into the hands of the public, so there won’t be any leaks stemming from this before the December 20 theatrical release. Director JJ Abrams recently said that Episode 9 will deliver a "true ending" to the series.

While the final installment of the Skywalker Saga is still a month away, you can still get your Star Wars fix from the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Episode 3 was released last week, and it was full of Easter eggs.
