The Rise of Skywalker clip will premiere in-game at Risky Reels

Last week, Epic Games announced that Fortnite players will have the chance to watch an exclusive clip from the upcoming film Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. But during The Game Awards, the developer revealed that players who make it to the clip’s in-game premiere will also get a free TIE whisper glider as well.

This new exclusive cosmetic item is shaped just like the TIE whisper that Kylo Ren uses in the The Rise of Skywalker’s first trailer. The ship, also known as a TIE/wi, is an interceptor-class ship used by the First Order to hunt down Resistance forces. In-game the whisper will act as a standard glider, and yet another of the game’s hundreds of cosmetic options.

This isn’t the first time that Star Wars and Epic have teamed up to put cosmetic items in Fortnite either. There are already Stormtrooper, Rey, and Finn skins, with more on the way when the clip debuts. The in-game premiere of the new The Rise of Skywalker scene will be held at Risky Reels on Saturday, Dec. 14. According to the announcement, “doors open at 1:30 p.m. ET,” while the event itself will begin at 2 p.m. ET.
