<p>Reminder: The moon has teeth</p>
<p>*nervous laughter* Here’s a fun thing to add to your <a href="https://www.polygon.com/reviews/2019/11/13/20961309/pokemon-sword-and-pokemon-shield-review-nintendo-switch-nov-15-release-date"><em>Pokémon Sword </em>and <em>Shield</em></a> game: the terrifying moon from <a href="https://www.polygon.com/game/the-legend-of-zelda-majora-s-mask/6304"><em>The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask</em></a>. </p>
<p>In <em>Majora’s Mask</em>, the moon — which has teeth — threatens Clock Town and Termina (the parallel world to Hyrule) as it hurtles toward the planet from space. In <em>Sword </em>and <em>Shield</em>, the moon is a pal. A terrifying, horrible pal. The mod is available for download <a href="https://gamebanana.com/skins/174145">on Game Banana</a>, and modder Hallow’s got <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxRrWJ-kGAM">a video up on YouTube</a>.</p>
<p>It’s a cosmetic mod that replaces Ghastly with Moon. And honestly, it’s a good fit. Both are creepy orbs of various materials, so the animations line up pretty well. There are several layers of terrifying to the mod, many of which are tied to Moon’s teeth. (Is this a trend? Another modder <a href="https://www.polygon.com/pokemon/2020/1/6/21051907/ball-guy-pokemon-sword-shield-nintendo-switch-mod-max-raid-battle">added Ball Guy into <em>Sword </em>and <em>Shield</em>’s battles</a>. Those large teeth upset me.) Moon not only battles with other Pokémon, but can do anything else Pokémon can do&#8230; including <a href="https://www.polygon.com/pokemon-sword-shield-guide/2019/11/20/20974245/pokemon-sword-shield-guide-how-to-get-more-toys">playing with toys at your Pokémon Camp</a>, <a href="https://www.polygon.com/pokemon-sword-shield-guide/2019/11/20/20972429/how-to-make-the-best-curry-copperajah-charizard">eating curry</a>, and <a href="https://www.polygon.com/pokemon-sword-shield-guide/2019/11/19/20971318/pokemon-sword-shield-guide-how-to-get-gigantamax-pokemon-vs-dynamax-pokemon">Dynamaxing</a>.</p>
<p>There’s something so unfortunate about seeing Moon’s joy at a delicious curry, but I’m just trying to be happy that he’s happy. I mean, he’s gotta do something with those teeth. </p>
<p>To put Moon in your <em>Sword</em> and <em>Shield</em> game, you’d need a modded Nintendo Switch.</p>
