<p>Get the latest on Pokémon news</p>
<p>Nintendo and The Pokémon Co. have some Pokémon news for you, and you can watch a new Pokémon Direct presentation live right here to hear the latest.</p>
<p>The roughly 20-minute Pokémon Direct will air Thursday, Jan. 9, at 9:30 a.m. ET/6:30 a.m. PT on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMXRyk7ikjI">Nintendo’s YouTube</a> and <a href="https://www.twitch.tv/nintendo">Twitch</a> channels, as well as on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Nintendo/">Facebook</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/nintendoamerica">Twitter</a>.</p>
<p>Possible topics of discussion include new content coming to <em>Pokémon Sword</em> and <em>Pokémon Shield</em> for Nintendo Switch; <a href="https://www.polygon.com/2019/5/28/18643531/pokemon-sleep-tracker-pokemon-go-niantic-nintendo">Pokémon Sleep</a>, which wants to turn your good night’s sleep into entertainment; that <a href="https://www.polygon.com/2019/5/28/18643518/pokemon-detective-pikachu-2-nintendo-switch">mysterious <em>Detective Pikachu</em> sequel</a>; and <a href="https://www.polygon.com/pokemon/2019/5/28/18643538/pokemon-home-cloud-storage-pokemon-go-nintendo-switch">Pokémon Home</a>, the cloud-based storage system that will work with <em>Pokémon Go</em>, <em>Pokémon: Let’s Go!</em>, and <em>Sword</em> and <em>Shield</em>.</p>
<p>Of course, there’s always room for a few surprises. There has been some speculation that <em>Pokémon Diamond</em> and <em>Pearl</em> may be getting remakes of some sort, and <a href="https://www.polygon.com/2019/7/22/20703631/pokemon-tencent-china-mobile-pc-games">The Pokémon Co. recently teamed up with Tencent</a> to make Pokémon games (for China). So who knows!</p>
