EA is currently experiencing server issues, which is impacting a number of the publisher’s games, including Apex Legends and FIFA 20. The EA Help Twitter account acknowledged the troubles, tweeting, "We’re looking into issues with our websites, games, and services."
EA hasn’t provided a time frame for when these issues could be resolved, but the company says it will "be back with updates as [it has] them." We’ll continue to update this story as more information becomes available.

The FIFA Direct Communications Twitter account also acknowledged the issues, tweeting, "We are aware of the complaints around connecting to EA servers and are actively investigating. Match creation has been temporarily disabled to prevent disconnects during this time."
