The name Marigold actually, believe it or not, is based on an old Nintendo and Recruit company (that’s been closed since 2003) called Marigul Management. This company was a sort of larger management company (hence the name) that had numerous devs under it as part of a Nintendo-exclusive group. These devs included; Ambrella, Noise Games (both are still around), Clever Trick, Param, and Saru Brunei. The latter three are long gone now.

The Marigul name was based on Mario and Seegul (the mascot of Recruit). I chose the name Marigold as I actually didn’t hear of the name (which is actually a flower) until a few years back, which took me by surprise as the similarity is surely a coincidence (I heard of Marigul first). And you COULD see it as a combination of Mario and Gold (like gold coins) if you wanted to also lol!

As for me, I’ve been on sites like ResetEra, Twitter, GoNintendo, Serebii, etc. And of course, Sonic Stadium where I am actually a writer for! I first joined the team back on February 5th, 2014 (the day prior to Sonic Boom’s unveiling, what a day THAT was! XD). I’ve written a few reviews on that site so far (3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the 3DS eShop and Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice for the 3DS), and many articles (most of them being Nintendo-focused, which is my specialty of course! :D). Expect this site to be about Nintendo in general, BUT I might sneak something else once in a blue moon. 😛
