Why Purchase Darkmoon Companions?

Ideally, our primary goal is to purchase Replica Transmog, as that’s where the more significant profit margins are. With the new level restriction coming into force with the Shadowlands pre-patch, we now need to be level 22 to purchase Replica Transmog. If you’re below level 22, my alternative and my advice is to spend Darkmoon Prize Tickets buying Darkmoon Companion Pets instead.

Important: If you plan to level your character to level 22 or above before the Darkmoon faire ends, please ignore the advice above and purchase Replica Transmog instead!

Vendor, Lhara:

The vendor we’re mainly interested in this post is Lhara. Please find below the Companion Pets that she sells, all priced at 90 Darkmoon Prize Tickets each. Only one companion pet, that doesn’t need to be learned, the Darkmoon Hatchling. The rest need to be learned in order to post to the Auction House.

Vendor, Galissa Sundew:

If you have 100 Darkmoon Daggermaw available to spend, there’s also a companion pet from Gallisa Sundew. This pet doesn’t need to be learned, to post to the Auction House. Check The Undermine Journal to see if there’s value in the Companion Pet or the Battle Pet.

There is absolutely no value in purchasing Blorps Bubble. This Companion Pet, cannot battle, and cannot be learned and caged.

Vendor, Flik:

It’s worth giving an honorable mention to the vendor, Flik. Flik is the sorry looking chap running around the Darkmoon Island (notably nearby the Herb/Skinning daily quest). Flik sells two pets, more importantly, one that is on a limited supply. The price in bold/brackets below, is the price you pay, if you’re exalted with the Darkmoon Faire.

Darkmoon Rares:

It’s worth reminding you of the two rares on the Darkmoon Island. The Darkmoon Rabbit, and Moonfang. These rares have the potential to drop Companion Pets. These pets do not need to be learned to post on the Auction House. Check The Undermine Journal, whether there’s value in the Companion Pet, or the learned Battle Pet instead.

Pet Battle Dailies:

Although not purchasable from a vendor, but worth consideration nonetheless, the Darkmoon Faire has two pet battles on offer every day. The two pet battles on offer are via Christoph VonFeasel and Jeremy Feasel. Once defeated, you have the chance to loot a Companion Pet.
