I’m going to the theatre play today. It is called “Soul of a whore”. For a start I go to wonder behind the scene and later I want to stay to watch the performance itself.

Friend of mine, who is directing this play sometimes concerned about critics reviews. But I was thinking that it is not easy to put yourself out there, not to mention, you are almost not allowed to be vulnerable and you have to dedicated a lot of time and energy for this. That is already a lot.

All this effort is creating some sort of a pillow around their’s work, bringing the play on certain level so it automatically can’t be negative or zero.

So after all, plays can’t be bad, they only can be either good or brilliant.

At least I would love to think so. But my wishes not always match the reality.

Сегодня я опять иду в театр. Наконец-то, закончился сезон репетиций. И друг мой, который продюсирует проект, слегка озабочен критической оценкой (особенно, если она действительно критическая).

А я вот думаю,что нужно иметь смелость и креативность для того, чтобы поставить спектакль. Нужно потратить ведра энергии и километры времени, не бояться заниматься любимым делом и еще совершенствовать свое актерское мастерство. Все это уже поднимает спектакль выше любой ватерлинии, и оттого негативных спектаклей не бывает. Бывают лишь хорошие или отличные, по крайней мере мне бы хотелось так думать… и это вовсе не означает, что мое желание совпадает с реальностью.
