Yesterday we were at the Malt house and watched “War in Peace”.

I don’t want to spoil it for you if you haven’t watched it yet, but I just say that show was amazing. I thought even before the show that it is almost impossible to make a theatre production based on a book of one thousand pages. Well, looks like it’s possible, especially if you relate to it very grotesque as they did.

What is this book about? As one actor said: “This book has a title “War and peace”, so it is pretty much about everything”.

Production was unusual…ly great. At least I thought so. But my friend didn’t like it at all. It is kinda love and hate relationship. That’s the best formula for success. Or you can name love/hate relationship more fundamental like Tolstoy did when he named his book “War and Peace”… for example.

Anywhoo, I read the book long time ago, but the feelings after the show was this kind: we are feeling small at war and great at peace time, but we do the opposite: behave great at war and “small” when we relaxed and only Tolstoy can be great everywhere.
