<p>It&#8217;s free. It&#8217;s high quality. It&#8217;s practical. Both teachers and students can use it. Did I mention that it&#8217;s free? (Need <a href="http://educationaltechnologyguy.blogspot.com/2012/01/why-i-use-googles-products-as-educator.html" target="_blank">a stronger argument</a> for using Google stuff?)</p>

There are those who <a href="http://www.businessweek.com/technology/should-googles-new-privacy-policy-concern-you-01252012.html" target="_blank">are upset</a> with some of these changes. But I like their idea of consolidating services into single pages.</p>
<p>One of the changes has been to revamp the <a href="http://www.google.com/edu/teachers/index.html" target="_blank">Google for Educators</a> page. New content has been added and combined into three handy sections &#8211; Classroom Tools, Professional Development, and Student Resources. They also created <a href="https://plus.google.com/u/0/103266364845729488839/posts" target="_blank">a new Google+ page</a> that encourages the development of an online community</p>
<p>Part of this involved the creation of a handy white paper called <strong><em>A New and Open World for Learning</em></strong> that provides information on how Google and its users are impacting education. <p>The overall effect makes your life as a user of Google Educator tools just a bit easier.</p>
