And what&#8217;s not to like? <a href="http://teachinghistory.org/best-practices" target="_blank">Best Practices </a>in teaching history. Teaching <a href="http://teachinghistory.org/teaching-materials" target="_blank">history materials</a>. Website <a href="http://teachinghistory.org/history-content/featured-website-reviews" target="_blank">reviews</a>. Grade level <a href="http://teachinghistory.org/teaching-materials/lesson-plan-reviews" target="_blank">lesson plans</a>. Ability to <a href="http://teachinghistory.org/favorites" target="_blank">save favorites</a>. <a href="http://teachinghistory.org/history-content/ask-a-historian" target="_blank">Ask a Historian</a>. <a href="http://teachinghistory.org/teaching-materials/ask-a-master-teacher" target="_blank">Ask a Master Teacher</a>. And blatant personal promotion in the form of <a href="http://teachinghistory.org/digital-classroom/tech-for-teachers/25363" target="_blank">Tech for Teachers</a>.</p>
<p>But wait.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s more.</p>
<p>TeachingHistory also has an incredible <a href="http://teachinghistory.org/nhec-blog" target="_blank">useful blog</a>. And <a href="http://teachinghistory.org/nhec-blog/25380" target="_blank">a recent post</a> highlighting an American Historical Association presentation demonstrates the sort of stuff you can find at TeachingHistory. The post has some nice resources about how that focused on teaching history in the 21st century.<a href="https://historytech.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/21st-century-prezi.png"><img data-attachment-id="11248" data-permalink="https://historytech.wordpress.com/2012/02/07/teaching-history-in-a-digital-world/21st-century-prezi/" data-orig-file="https://historytech.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/21st-century-prezi.png" data-orig-size="901,443" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="21st century prezi" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://historytech.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/21st-century-prezi.png?w=450" data-large-file="https://historytech.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/21st-century-prezi.png?w=901" class="alignright size-medium wp-image-11248" style="margin:5px;" title="21st century prezi" src="https://historytech.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/21st-century-prezi.png?w=450&#038;h=221" alt="" srcset="https://historytech.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/21st-century-prezi.png?w=450&amp;h=221 450w, https://historytech.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/21st-century-prezi.png?w=900&amp;h=442 900w, https://historytech.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/21st-century-prezi.png?w=150&amp;h=74 150w, https://historytech.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/21st-century-prezi.png?w=768&amp;h=378 768w" sizes="(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px" /></a></p>
<p>I especially like the stuff by Rwany Sibaja. He&#8217;s put together <a href="http://prezi.com/sddmam-t_swn/digital-tools-for-the-classroom/" target="_blank">a sweet Prezi</a> and <a href="https://historytech.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/aha-handout.pdf">a couple of handouts</a> on using 21st century tools to help kids brainstorm, produce, present, and communicate historical content.</p>
<p>If kids are going to succeed in the 21st century, we have teach in the 21st century. TeachingHistory is a great place to start.</p>
