The number of young people involved in the Sea Scouts and Air Cadets to name just a couple of the organisations there was really impressive. Hundreds of people lined the streets to take part in one of the best attended services of recent times.</p>

<p>Also the Armistice Day parade at the top of the High Street was well attended, with the whole High Street coming to a standstill, almost without exception.</p>
