Also released on the same day as the New 3DS models are new charging stands in White, Pink and Mint (above) for the New 3DS and just a Black design (below) for the New 3DS LL. Prices will be ¥1,000 + tax for the smaller model and ¥1,200 for the LL.

Both New 3DS models will also come with a 4GB Micro SDHC Card and a Micro SDHC Card Adapter. The New 3DS will also accept 16GB and 32GB Micro SDHC Cards (probably 64GB and 128GB if formatted in a specific way but please wait for a confirmation post first!).

One disadvantage of the New 3DS is that neither model will come with an AC Adapter. Nintendo are selling them for ¥952 + tax but existing 3DS / 3DS LL / DSi / DSi LL ones will work and I can confirm that my UK Adapter works absolutely fine with my Japanese model.

The most exciting New 3DS accessories are the Kisekae Plates. 38 designs will be available for you to customise your New 3DS (not the New 3DS LL) priced at ¥1,000 – ¥3,000 (+ tax). Designs include Super Mario, Animal Crossing and Monster Hunter characters!
