● With the one year since the passing of Satoru Iwata, it’s perhaps fitting that Nintendo shares are at their highest level for over six years due to the worldwide success of Pokémon GO (which still isn’t available in Japan btw) and the potential of the mobile platform espoused by Iwata. Speaking of our former president, a Kindle book by 26 of his former classmates is available (in Japanese) here priced at just ¥690.
● In weekend news: Pokémon Sun Moon pre-orders opened yesterday alongside Yokai Watch 3 (with new commercials here and here), the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System has sold out on many Amazons (although still not announced for Japan), alternate Splatoon box art here, new Dragon Ball Fusions commercials here and here and a trailer for the CoroCoro digital manga on 3DS here.
● The Theme Shop was updated with Onigiri, M.S.S Project, Kojima Clerk, Mikito-P feat. MAYO, 40mP feat. Hatsune Miku and Kurage-P themes, Collectible Badge Center was updated with Yokai Watch 3 badges, the official Nintendo LINE account celebrated the release of the Splatoon playing cards and Miitomo added the celebrities Daisuke Miyagawa and Kazuko Kurosawa plus a new trailer here.
● Next week will see Sumikko Gurashi: Mura wo Tsukurun Desu on 3DS, Aikatsu Stars! First Appeal and Hiyoko-Mamire on the 3DS eShop, Super Robo Mouse on the Wii U eShop and on the Virtual Console: Chou Makaimura, Rockman X2 and Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting on New 3DS and Mario Tennis 64, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky and Salamander on Wii U.
