Nintendo have detailed the Tentacles (Off the Hook) amiibo functionality in Splatoon 2. Both include gear (head, body and footwear) based on the Octo Expansion outfits, and the ability to take photos in either their normal gear or Octo Expansion outfits. You can also take photos on stage during Fes weekends (Splatfests). There’s also Hime-mode and Ida-mode (Pearl and Marina-mode) when playing the rhythm game Ika Rajio 2 (Squid Beatz 2) with different sound effects and appearance, but no new songs.
