● The final Dairantou Smash Bros. SPECIAL Direct saw Ken, Gaogaen/Incineroar and Packun Flower/Piranha Plant added to the roster. A Fighter Pass Set was also announced with five DLC characters to be added by 29 February 2020.
● King K. Rool, Ice Climbers and Piranha Plant amiibo all release on 15 February 2019. Check out images of eight new amiibo (adding Ken, Daisy, Young Link, Pichu and Isabelle) here, and watch the full Direct here.
● Nintendo Switch has sold 22.86 million units worldwide as of 30 September 2018, and has overtaken the GameCube. The best-selling Switch software worldwide, inclusive of digital, and as of 30 September are:-

● Nintendo announced both a Nintendo Switch Fortnite Battle Royale Set (as a My Nintendo Store exclusive) for on 22 November release and a Nintendo Switch Minecraft Set (as a general release) for 30 November. Box arts posted here and here.
● Nintendo also announced that Fortnite has been downloaded to nearly half of all Nintendo Switch systems worldwide (total hardware is at 22.86 million).
● Flyhigh Works announced OPUS Collection Chikyuu Keikaku＋Tamashii no Kakehashi for retail release on on 31 January priced at ¥3,434 containing both games and a code for a digital soundtrack.
● Regista announced a new version of The Demon Crystal which originally released back in 1984 for MSX and PC-88. The Switch version is scheduled for release this Winter, although there’s no price as of yet.
● Hamster announced five more ACA NEOGEO games (in addition to the already announced Puzzle Bobble 1 and 2) with Thrash Rally, Stakes Winner 2, King of the Monsters 2, Neo Geo Cup ‘98 ～THE ROAD TO THE VICTORY～ and Twinkle Star Sprites.
● Splatoon 2 will be updated to Ver.4.2.0 on 07 November adding Ultra Stamp, Torpedo, Kensa Splattershot Jr., Kensa Octobrush, Kensa Undercover Brella, Kensa L-3 Nozzlenose and the Ruins of Ark Polaris Salmon Run stage. Voting for Splatfest has begun with the theme of “Which faction are you？ Pocky Chocolate vs Pocky Gokuboso”.
● Kemco announced the tavern management RPG Marenia-koku no Bouken Sakaba (Marenian Tavern Story) for the Nintendo Switch eShop this Winter. Promo video added here.
● And this week’s Switch demos included Risk：Sekai Seifuku Game (Risk: The Game of Global Domination), Rei-Jin-G-Lu-P and Gesshi~zu: Gajigaji Nakama wo Sodateyou.
● Nintendo 3DS has sold 73.53 million units as of 30 September with Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa says that “we will keep the business going.”
● Hyaku Poke Yako and Ultra Beasts Pokémon themes released on the Japanese 3DS Theme Shop this past week priced at ¥200 each. Pictures posted here.
● Wii U has sold 13.56 million units as of 30 September in what will likely be the final system bumbers.
● Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw a new app icon, a free Pumpkin Head hat (pictured here), and Isabelle’s Party-Prep Project, Isabelle’s Café Cookie, Isabelle’s Slideshow and more (ull details and pictures posted here).
● Dragalia Lost saw a getherwing double-recovery event, a Kindness and Captivity Raid Event as well as the Summon Showcase The Desert Jewel and the Abyssal Flame.
● Fire Emblem Heroes saw the Legendary Hero, Eirika: Graceful Resolve arrive for both a Legendary Hero Summoning Event and a Legendary Hero Battle. Trailers added here and artwork here.
● Super Mario Run is now close to 300 million downloads to date. The game also saw a Weekend Spotlight on Toad and Toadette.
● Blizzard Entertainment announced a Loot Goblin amiibo for Diablo III Eternal Collection releasing this December. Picture here.
● Nintendo announced that Yo-kai Watch 3 will release for Nintendo 3DS in Europe on 07 December and in North America on 08 February. Trailer added here.
● Nintendo also announced they will be localising Dragon Quest Builders 2 for Nintendo Switch in the West in 2019.
● The Nintendo Classic Mini: Family Computer and Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Famicom have collectively sold 10 million units as of 30 September.
● Nintendo Co., Ltd. have renewed merchandising trademarks for Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi logos which are all posted in this post!
● Nintendo Co., Ltd. also applied for the videogame trademarks SPIRIT TRACKS (posted here) and MARIO VS. DONKEY KONG (posted here). Both trademarks cover physical games, download games and smartphone games.
● San-ei Boeki are opening up Nintendo Licensed Goods stores in Tokyo Station Ichibangai (open from 10 – 22 November) and Kiddy Land Osaka Umeda branch (open from 15 December – 06 January) with both selling clothing, plushies, bicycles, and some awesome confectionary pictured here.
● Super Mario Party was the best-selling Switch game in Japan again last week with 31,650. Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection International opened with 7,443 and Beyblade Burst Battle Zero opened with 5,380. Full Nintendo charts posted here.
